Green Acres Leicestershire

I visited Greenacres for the first time in over a year, purely due to my husband's poor health, and I was delighted at the fantastic changes that had taken place. I can only applaud whoever is responsible for this. It was always a great garden centre/nursery to go for really unusual plants and trees and water features, but congratulations Greenacres, you have really excelled yourselves, it is now a special garden centre, that has not lost its friendly appeal. this is not about the garden center as such, its about the tea room, my husband and I came to your tea room on sat 28th sept and decided to have a bite to eat as we had just been shopping and looking around your center, after waiting for precisely 40 mins for our food I was presented with cold scrambled egg and white anemic toast - my husbands sausage baguette was also cold and the waitress placed knifes and forks on the table which were filthy! the knifes had thumb prints all over them and I had noticed her filling up the container of cutlery on one table with her hands all over the eating side of the cutlery not by the handles I consider this to be unhygienic and not acceptable, it put me off my food before I had it! the tea room was supposed to be under new management- well - I hope they get better with time! very disappointed.
