Plenty of choice and most of the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. There is a lot of expensive giftware but you can often drop on a bargain. Only complaint is that items often do not have a price tag or the price is different at the till. Cafe is average. Quite expensive but if you become a member, you get 2 cuppas a month and 3 BOGOF meals a year which is more reasonable.

My husband and I visit here often and over the years have always enjoyed a coffee and a scone in the middle of our visit. I personally love Pork and stuffing, especially the crackling and always with Apple sauce and was very excited to see it all advertised on the menu in a baguette with chips and gravy separately on the plate....not cheap at £7.99, but decided I couldn't resist and my hubby got the fish, chips and mushy peas....again not cheap at £9.99. We were very disappointed with both....my husband said the fish was tasteless and as for mine, I couldn't believe there was no crackling or Apple sauce with it and was told it had all gone when I queried it, plus the pork looked like shop bought sliced, hence the gravy was tasteless. We were told it had all gone when we queried the missing crackling and Apple sauce and found that hard to believe as it was only 11.55 am....so I would say well before the lunchtime rush. We intend to stick to a scone in future, but will still visit!!!!!

Visited notcutts cafe at victoria wakefield ordered toasted sandwich and jacket potato also hot drinks, After waiting 30 minutes complained also drink gone cold.The jacket potato was dry and the toasted sandwich rock hard and not the kind I ordered.Not worth the wait or money , overpriced and bad service
