I am more than happy with Staples Garden Centre with service received and quality and pricing of plants and shrubs. One visit and I was hooked. Long and awkward journey from London but worth it. I had received already a purchase of Lilly of the Valley on line from them which truly amazed me. Large clusters with 5 to 6 inch roots established and ready for planting, all now lovely and growing well. It was this that prompted me to visit. A delightful experience. No fancy laid out set up like other commercial nurseries, but everything you would want in the way of quality, variety and friendly and helpful service. I came away with a beautiful white lilac in bloom and two gloriously scented honesuckle all reasonably priced. Only wish I had bought one of the established Wisterias in the 9 and a half litre pots which were full of bud and now sold out. For me a magical experience, every turn taken a treasure of plants discovered. On reflection I only wish I had come away with more.

Visited for the first time today and although on first impression the buildings look tired and old fashioned the range of products was really good and the plants looked very robust. Visited the café and thought the service was excellent and the food we had great. Would certainly go back again.

I wish I'd read the review below, before I bought my Xmas tree lights from Staples. I realised I'd got the wrong colour, so went back with my receipt and the unopened box, to ask if I could swap. The only receipt in the bag was (as I was rudely told) the credit card receipt and not the till one. Despite the box having the exact price on of the item I was returning, the officous woman told me that the receipt "told her nothing" and that there were many other items of that price.. She would brook no discussion and was implying that I was lying.To be spoken to so rudely, at a place that I and my late husband had been giving our custom to for many years, was really upsetting, and I left close to tears. It's the last time I go there.
