I think this Bonsai centre has been closed for approximately 2/3 years. Very annoyed having driven a round trip of approx 120 miles !

The year 2014, i read the above review and decided to drive 40 miles to visit this place, Oh dear what a dissapointment, it was small unkept unloved and in a total state of disrepair. The trees were unkept and unloved with an expensive price tab! even the tools were rusty. such a shame the place has so much potential. I would not recommend this place to the decerning Bonsai enthusiast.

The Bonsai Nursery at Salmesbury is a rare place. It is nestled in the valley of the River Ribble tucked away from the high speed traffic of the A59. It is part of the the old village past the ancient church. It's not the most modern or polished of places and if you were expecting a coffee shop with expensive cakes or a garden centre that has lots of Christmas stuff on display then you'll be disappointed. Instead you will find an eccentricly dedicated seller of bonsai trees of all sizes and prices. You get good advice and no hard pressure sales from the owner who clearly knows what he's doing and how to cultivate these great little tree's. I came away with a tree for my son who was thrilled with it and I plan to go back soon the advice that was offered when I purchased it. Well worth a visit.
