Hello. On Sunday we visited the walled garden. It was looking great. A few coach loads of visitors were there and it looked like they were enjoying themselves. We would normally have a drink but due to it being very busy we decided not to on this occasion. We happily looked around for alpine plants and compost. we spent £31.00 on 9 plants, large compost and 3 pairs of gloves.
The secret garden has a charming roped fence with spades and forks for posts! It's in it's early stages but you can see a lot of hard work has happened and will continue. I like the idea of strawberries in the wheelbarrow with straw to protect from slugs and snails!
My driving instructor David Bastin is going to take his wife and family for a visit after i told him how nice it is.

Just come back from his garden centre and my goodness, this has to be the worst service I have experienced in a very long time. It took 15 mins to get served in their cafe. 30 mins later the sandwich eventually turned up but instead of 2 we got 3. My wife who ordered commented on how expensive food was, so no surprise we were also charged for 3. Now problem said the person delivering the food, we can check it in a minute. No surprise, she had to line up again & once again it took nearly 25 mins again for her to a credit.
Finally went to the till to buy the items we had gone to buy in the first place and low & behold, no one at the tills. Eventually someone comes back and on commenting on how bad the service was says do you want me to put these items through or not. I regulated to see the manager and when Nick slobbernly strolled up I can see the problem.
He had no customer focus skills and after a pathetic excuse for an apology, I decided to leave the items.

We visited yesterday as we were just passing. My husband was keen to buy some plants for his hanging baskets. We happened to ask a member of staff about a certain plant. This lovely lady was so helpful, as she went through lots of different plants, sharing her knowledge and answering our many questions. We came away so much more informed and feeling confident about what we had bought. It was such a refreshing change to find a genuine and helpful member of staff, who didn't seem to mind us taking up her time. She even suggested we came back and showed her a photo of our finished baskets! Thankyou for all the advice, patience and making our visit useful as well as enjoyable!
