Brookside Garden Centre

This centre gets good reviews but we werent able to confirm this. We attempted to visit on Jan 1, 2018 and at 12.30pm joined a stream of cars trying to enter from the main road. However the queue wasnt caused by a packed car park but by vehicles attempting 3 point turns outside the centre due to the place being closed! No indication of such a closure was given on their web site except to note that the trading hours might be affected by the New Year. It was obviously beyond the abilities of the company to add opening times over the New Year to their web site. They didnt even have the sense to put their telephone on an answer machine giving out this data. I would hazard a guess that along with ourselves, the majority of motorists who turned up today wont be doing so tomorrow. By the way, Brookside management might note that their competitor was open as usual with an excellent sale and normal catering facilities.
