While I feel sorry for the person who had the really bad experience over his mower: I'm shocked. Our experience has always been that staff are always willing to go out of their way to help.. they have even grown special planters for charity events, refused payment and not put any form of signage on them to say whence they came. They are not the cheapest place to buy what they sell but stock is consitently good (yes - there was a blip when they were very short staffed a couple of years ago) but the family and all the staff really do work incredibly hard to give a very good service and if tyou hanker after something not in stock they will find it for you. GOOD FREE advice is not available in Tesco - so buy you r plants where the staff really can tell you if they will survive in your garden.

What an utter shambles of a business. We've been coming here for years, must have spent about £20k over that time, living locally. Toad Hall has always been our 'go to' for all our outdoors needs. But no longer Simple experience to service a mower, entrusted to them to help them keep going during Covid - each tie I rang for an update on progress, they didn't even know where the mower was let alone when it would be ready - having told it would be a week. Rang 6 times and each time was told they would call back - no call ever received. Told parts were in, it would be ready on time, rang on time - told parts were not - would be another week..... Told them I'd come and pick it up and do it myself and they hung up mid-conversation Either massively complacent as a business, taken the customer base for granted, massively rude, deceit, misled then lied......over the servicing of a simple mower.... ...and then assume the one loyal customer base will stay loyal to that sort of service? Spoke to the management - they said the parts were not in, yet their man said the parts had been in... Utter shambles - and we rarely write reviews but this experience takes the biscuit. We only took the mower to them to help them generate business over this period.....and this is how we were treated
