As a keen gardener, though far from been an expert, I find B&Q to be the best. Unlike other garden centres they have everything under one roof; garden furniture, trellis & timber, paving, planters, pots etc. The quality and range of their fertilisers, plants, shrubs, trees and bulbs can't be beating. They also stock the 'top of the range' in garden machinery and tools. But for me their best asset is their staff, who I find very helpful; they take time in answering any questions I may have and go out of their way to help. I always have an enjoyable time shopping there. The only problem I find with Wigan B&Q garden centre is... I tend to spend far longer than I planed, such is the array of things to see.

bought performance power tool (mitre saw) not told if brushes go will not be able to get replacement from anywhere but solent tools in southampton at a cost of aprx £12 plus p/p asked at b&q and told go to DIY.COM waste of time and effort best to go to PROPER tool shop and buy REAL tools as B&Q are a waste of time and space and customer service is worse than useless.
the top people at B&Q should take note and try thinking of the customer and not PROFIT for a change RECOMEND NOT GOING TO B&Q BUT GOING TO A REAL TOOL SHOP
