I have traded at Lakers for many years. The previous owners were very friendly and helpful, and the prices very low, but the nursery was a little "Heath Robinson" and sold little other than plants and compost.
The new owners are just as friendly and helpful but have smartened up and extended the scope of the nursery to include toilets, a splendid tea room and a small shop. The shop does not seek to compete with those of larger nurseries but provides commonly used essentials.
Anybody looking for healthy plants at a reasonable price should visit Lakers. Whilst there enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake.
