The Garden Centre itself seemed fine, and the chap at the checkout seemed really friendlly - but I wasn't there for gardening stuff. I went to the cafe in my 40 minute lunch break. Thought I'd do something different. Ordered a coffee and a fruit slice from their cafe. They didn't bring my order for virtually 15 minutes although they weren't rushed off their feet, so wasted half my lunchbreak waiting. When I went to find out where it was they said they'd "forgotten". No apology. And to add to that the table hadn't been cleared/cleaned from the last guests. So - it might well be a place for a long and luxurious afternoon tea. But I won't be spending my precious lunch break there again.

I understand that the Garden centre has been taken over in the past few months. Myself and two friends visited the garden centre today 29/07/2014 and overall the garden centre is fine although still in need of some stock.
We had lunch in the Bruschetta garden centre and spent just short of £30.00
Meal 1. Goats cheese salad at a price of £6.95 this consisted of a plate full of iceberg lettuce, a couple of slices of salad tomatoes 3 slices of pepper with a small side order of coleslaw topped with a little goats cheese. One can of orange tango total cost £8.95.
Meal 2. A hot Roast beef sandwich with red onion, the bread was a small oven bottom from local bakers one slice of shop bought roast beef with half cooked onions served with iceberg lettuce one slice of salad tomato some stale crisps and a small side order of coleslaw.
A portion of chips was asked for and a small portion of fries arrived one bottle of speciality coke total cost £11.08
Meal 3 A house special sandwich of saus

Read Garden Centre has re-opened after being closed for a couple of years.
It is well stocked with lots of plants and the cafe is re-opening for Easter.
Well worth a visit
