We arrived, myself and my dog at what looked like a wonderfully stocked and well kept garden centre but unfortunately I cannot comment on the product range or pricing as, as soon as we set foot into the exterior of the centre, I was informed that dogs were not allow (not even the cute ones) and not even in the outside areas even though they supplied pet food, beds and toys!! Most if not all pet shops allow dogs in the shop let alone in the outside areas...... It was a very strange experience, I thought that garden centres were exactly the places people visited with their dogs, my mistake..... I hadn't seen the sign in the window saying guide dog only until we left but even if I had I would have presumed that was meaning the shop inside! So we just left and went to a centre that was further away from home but accepted dogs and spent a lot of money. I like to spend money locally to support local business but on this occasion it wasn't meant to be.

Only fly in the ointment is the café, whenever it is sunny, sitting in the café by the windows is not very pleasant. The sun is blinding and very hot, it tends to be shining through the windows from morning till late afternoon which makes it awkward to visit unless it is cloudy or raining. A few pull down blinds would solve the 'hot' problem.

I love the choice available here. The staff were very friendly and really helpful. It was lovely to sit in the cafe for a break too.
