We have been coming to Webbs for over 35 years. The previously ; the breakfast was cold. Service awful. However after such a long time did not want to give up on them. With a half price voucher and our drinks voucher, the total came to just over £6.00 What a waste of time and money Thank goodness there is a microwave now. My husband said his tea was disgusting and only drank a little of it, His meal was luke warm. My husbands food was so cold he had eaten over half of it before I returned from the microwave. Toast! Lukewarm bread with a faint brown centre. Worse still, whilst waiting for our drinks I watched the food preparation. This involved all food ( including fried eggs ) being picked up an ''plonked'' on the plates using their hands No type of glove whatsoever. One of them scratched his nose. Sorry. This is the last time for any food, thankyou. Webbs.. you have become too large Everyone else.. Lokk around . Plenty of smaller . nicer . homely tea rooms with freshly prepared food.

My wife and I have been today, the first time since the "restaurant" has been redesigned. Oh dear what a shame!. Yes it's glitzy with good selection of drinks, cakes etc but when it comes to lunch....A disaster!! The "open sandwich " menu is terrible and as for the "hot food" what have you done!! Are you trying to cater for the 40's and younger because I would suggest that that weekday customers are more of my generation (retired) and we like nothing more for lunch than a nice roast and veg, not the "Masterchef" type of stuff being offered today. Whereas there used to be a queue at the hot food counter I sat within full view and people either came, looked at the menu and walked away or didn't come at all. Doesn't this tell management something is wrong?? I had a chocolate muffin and my wife had a cheese and ham sandwich that was prepacked. This sandwich was inedible!! Twas as dry as sawdust!! What a rip off. Sorry Webb's you will not be seeing me and my wife in a long while.
