Notcutts Oxford is at Nuneham Courtenay, about six miles south of Oxford. The garden centre is in a beautiful rural setting at the site of the old Mattacks Rose Nursery. With over 3,000 plants and shrubs, a Pet Centre, garden furniture, home decorations, gifts and a restaurant serving hot meals and snacks, it really is a day out.

Spent a nice couple of hours at Notcutts Garden Centre (Sunday 6th September) selecting plants, pots and extras. Great selection of plants of high quality, spoke to a couple of staff who were knowledgeable and helpful.
Overall pleasant experience, but spoilt by the grumpy mature woman on the till, who was unhelpful, uncommunicative and at one point down right rude. Service with a grunt, I don't think she wanted to be there! Would not mind it, but I was spending a good sum - felt like telling her - to take it all back (but perhaps not so politely!
We all have our off days -hopefully this is not typical of the Notcutts Garden Centre.

Visited the Garden Center last Saturday. The items that we wanted to purchase was not priced, approached a staff member who very quickly found the price. I particularly like the layout of the planting areas and it is a pleasure to be able to walk around with plenty of space.
My Husband and I had the Gardner's Breakfast for the first time was very impressed with the quality and quantity, as I do not eat meat I was given the option of having extra of what I liked.
It will be much improved when the new loos are finished.
