Metcalfes is a small family run business started by Tony and Marion Metcalfe in the 1950s. The business has grown from just a few small wooden greenhouses to over 1 acre of modern heated glass today. We still devote 25% of the glasshouses for the production of quality tomatoes and cucumbers for sale on the nursery and at our fruit shop at Pickering. See our tomato growing page.

A very helpful ,knowledgeable staff ,a super selection of plants and the best tomatoes and cucumbers I have ever tasted ,which is a real compliment as I am obsessed with food!
