I agree with the first reviewer. Batchelors (the spelling seems to vary, but I think there's a 't' in there!) takes a bit of getting used to, but it's addictive. It's family run and the service is good and very helpful. Labels and pricing are sometimes a bit elusive, but the plants themselves are excellent. I would thoroughly recommend - it's nice to find somewhere individual, albeit a bit idiosyncratic, and with lots of character.

I love Bachelors Garden Nursery I have been shopping there for years. They have a huge range of plants, the staff are knowledgeable and always more than willing to help with any queries you may have. The customer is allowed to browse round the large site without being bothered, and if I want a particular plant they will usually have it. The delight of the place is that it is not a chain and you can find many plants there that you won't see in other garden centres. They also make up beautiful hanging baskets each spring. I am really surprised that my review is the only one on here as I think its perfect for serious gardeners.
