Visited this garden centre last weekend and was very impressed. I could not believe the transformation it has gone through in the last year. The centre is packed with so many products, and all at reasonable prices. The plants looked very healthy and their was a wide variety of plants stocked. There was also a pet shop, which my kids loved looking at the pets especially the parrot. There was a wide range of gardening products, i was able to get everything i needed, and more. Overall the centre had a lovely feel about it, which many garden centres these days lack. will certainly be returning.

What used to be a useful and well-stocked rural garden centre slid further downmarket in 2011 after a change of ownership. The decline from a proper garden centre began a couple of years back with a large expansion and diversification into non-garden-related stock. Now, under new ownership, the transformation from gardeners' retail outlet is complete: plant stocks are reduced, or poorer quality than hitherto, stock of garden equipment and materials has been hugely reduced and squeezed into a much smaller area, and the place is almost entirely given over to cheap bargain bin tat. Not the least of the irritating new features is the fact that anyone actually wishing to purchase plants or garden materials - not that anyone but the most desperate and immediately local, with the most basic of gardeing needs, will bother going there any more - is now forced to double back with laden trolley into the bowels of the tat emporium to get to the tills, then out again via the plants. Depressing.
