I was really surprised when I popped into Carpenter's Nursery on the St Albans's Road between St Alban's and Sandridge. They have completely refurnished and extended the shop. It has a full range of groceries. and it has loads of great local produce and even vegetables grown on the farm. I loved the rainbow carrots homegrown, so full flavour and colour. Fantastic in any salad.
