I went to the garden centre Sunday 18 September. The Garden Centre and the staff are lovely., but the cafe is not good. There must have been 6 or 7 staff around the till chatting, while tables still had dirty dishes on them. We finally found a clean table and I went up to order , we only wanted drinks, but the staff sill insisted I went back and got the table number before I was served. We had 3 cold drinks and a tea. I had to ask if it was possible to have some glasses. The tea tasted awful so we took it back. The girl behind the counter said "people have been saying the tea tastes awful all morning I think someone got the teas mixed up.
Anyway more tea was brought to us and again it tasted awful. So we were given a refund for the tea. Go the garden centre, but go home for a drink

Went to Carr Farm last weekend wanted to fill a gap in new boarder. They have put a lot of time and effort revamping whole place. In the past it wasnt a place I would choose to visit when looking for plants as although they were good for basket plants, the perennials and other garden plants never seemed their priority.
I'm glad to say this has all changed and their garden plant range has really extended and well worth a visit. They are expanding their range and its worth a look, you will be pleasantly surprised. In a few years could be on par with Gordale if they keep up the pace

wEnt looking for house plants. found lots of expensive, tacky bling, ornaments, scarves, food, shoes. rIdiculous, no house plants at all. It seems Carr farm has sold out to the weekend shopping experience and is more like s tacky American mall than a garden centre. BIG disappointment. ????
