Dobbies Garden Centres Livingston

I went in to the Livingston Branch last Saturday with my two grandsons for tea and cake it was lovely as always, after we went to see the fish to get some advice on fresh water fish , as I had purchased a start set for boys and it had been set up for a week so we needed the next step, which I thought would be fish, so I asked the assistant, and before I get to finish what I needed she Raised her voice in front of my grandsons and other people, that I had no right to just buy a tank and think I could put fish in it , I got this whole lecture about how she would NOT SELL ME ANY FISH and they would need to check my tank ( which is only 15lt to 20lt ) I only went in to purchase a couple of gold fish and advice on what to do next. The assistance was rude and not helpful at all. Totally spoilt the day for the boys as we did not purchase any fish I work in retail and I would never speak to any one like that

Great garden center I often spend hours browsing round the outdoor plants and various well stocked other departments only negative is in the restaurant particularly at the cash desk food and drinks cold by the time you get served .
