What a huge disappointment it was when we visited here today. It was a very hot day and the oppressive heat inside the cafe made it impossible to sit inside so we waited a short while for a seat outside. Salt only a few takes had umbrellas. We wanted fruit shoes but at 14.30 there were only two left. We took one of them and it was hard and dry where it was in the open in the heat. The butter packets were liquid. I had promised my elderly friends shoves and tea so brought them here, where in previous years we had enjoyed it. The very young people working there were not up to it, probably because they were trying to work in 40+ degrees. The tea was very good but no hot water was offered so we could havemake a second cup. After tea we looked at the plants and it s so sad to see dead and dying plants, because they had no water. cost of the hanging baskets was very high, £20 for a pot of drooping petunias. So sad to see the deterioration othis once lovely garden centre..
