We dropped into Heale Plant Centre cafe on our way to Devon and were extremely pleased with our find. The cafe was taken over by new owners in February 2013 and is now a really lovely experience. We had the roast pork and stuffing baguette which we thought were well priced at £5 complete with a very good salad. The decor and setting are lovely, with plenty of outside tables if the weather is nice (we sat inside as it was a bit cold). There is a small gift shop selling locally made crafts, gardening novelties and we indulged in some homemade chutney and free range eggs. The service was very friendly and attentive. A really great find only 10 minutes from the A303.

after seeing an article in a sunday paper we decided to visit Heale Gardens in Feb 2012. What a disappointment! Firstly we were charge £5 each which isn't unreasonable, except on Sundays for the Snowdrop walk it's only £3! the £5 is the normal price for the whole gardens which we weren't allowed to see as they were all marked off. The snowdrops etc were magnificent if only we'd been allowed to see them all! The cafe was disappointing, especially when the gardener allowed his two dogs to run through! Sadly we won't visit Heale again
