Regular customers spotted the vegetables growing in Their greenhouse and a prolific business was born. More and more greenhouses were added and Heighley Gate grew from a small scale nursery and garden center into the award-winning and growing retail operation or today.

I love this garden centre and have been visiting Heighley Gate for many years. My children and I used to take my father when he visited us from Yorkshire and he passed over twenty years ago. Now we normally have two traditional trips there per year, one on the way to the Alwinton Show and one before Christmas. My grand children love every thing and are always excited to go. I am particularly impressed by the quality of the fruit and vegetables now on sale outside and am seriously thinking of making a weekly trip to buy from there rather than the supermarket and have a mooch and a coffee whilst I'm at it.

We visited the store on the 11/12/17 with a nursery group with my granddaughter nd they were rushed through the visit with Santa but the staff refunded half our money nd they helped so much with the children nd open then soft play only for our children to play so we had a great day
