Regular customers spotted the vegetables growing in Their greenhouse and a prolific business was born. More and more greenhouses were added and Heighley Gate grew from a small scale nursery and garden center into the award-winning and growing retail operation or today.

I live locally and have spent a lot of money at this centre, as i love the plants and the quality. However, I will not shop here any more. The Garden Club card run by Wyevale is appalling, as if they say the voucher you receive on line has been redeemed, even though you keep a copy of the number on it, and also print it out, as the system is meant to not allow you to print it if it has been redeemed, you are allowed to redeem it, and the customer service department are disinterested and do not even know what is written in their own accounts!!! Lots of other quality garden centres around at cheaper price and without this flawed card system, my advice go elsewhere. Wish I had bought my new bench somewhere else. The star reviews are for the centre ONLY>

I live locally and visit the garden centre frequently and always enjoy it. However we visited today to browse the sale, I was and appalled to see the price of two copper topped lanterns. I bought a large one in November for £24.99 as a gift then bought the small one in December for £ 14.99. Today however they are in the sale with up to 50% off which is fine apart from the full price for the large one is £49.99 and the small £29.99?????

I run a coffee morning once a month for our village pensioners and with the proceeds I take them on a day trip for £5 each. We have been to Morpeth Garden Centre several times and I am in the process of organising a trip this month for them. We like the garden centre because regardless of the weather there is plenty to do and see there so if it is raining it is no problem. The only moan we have is the restaurant do not seem to be able to cope with a party of 49 people even though I have rung and told them when we would be coming I know it is difficult as plenty of other people go there as well, perhaps this could be rectified . Looking forward to seeing and buying Christmas decorations and presents.
