Really nice garden centre with great displays. Staff were really friendly and helpful. I took my mum for lunch and the food was excellent. We had an omelette and a homemade broccoli and Stilton soup - both were very yummy. The coffee is the best I've had in any coffee shop. They were creating Santa's grotto when we were there and it looks very exciting, I'll definitely be taking my granddaughter to visit.

Just visited your coffee shop and my husband and i was very disgusted. You have sticky fly papers hanging everywhere which were full of flies. While we were sat there flies were crawling everywhere and of course around us.Think you have a serious problem that needs sorting. Also as a we walked around the garden centre there was rain gushing through the roof all over.

Thank you for your review, we do appreciate all feedback. We were aware of the fly problem at the time and it was due to the surrounding farms having spread manure on their fields. We had contacted the local environmental health department for advice on how to deal with the problem in a food area and were advised that fly papers were the best non-chemical products to use. Fortunately the fly problem only lasted a few days. Regarding the rain coming in, we are currently undergoing a large renovation project, which includes a new coffee shop, and this is being addressed.

This is for the tearoom, I asked what the soup of the day was and was told carrot, so this is what my husband and I had. This must be the worst soup I've ever had the only thing carrot was the colour. It was curry and black pepper yuk. I can't eat spicy food. I went to the counter and asked for two glasses of tap water. My husband loves curry and spicy food he couldn't eat it either. I said to the lady it's the strangest carrot soup I've ever had and said it was so spicy. When she returned with the water she said its spicy carrot soup. Really not good enough had we have known this to start with we wouldn't of had it. Staff need to know what they are selling I hate paying for something I can't eat. We sat by a window there were ants everywhere and then I noticed to my horror the fly strips hanging around the cafe. I believe these are illegal even if they are not they look appalling. If I had of seen these in the first place I most certainly wouldn't have even contemplated eating there

Thank you for your review. We have taken on on bored your comments regarding the soup description and have ensured that all menus are clearer and staff are fully aware too. I'm sorry you were offended by the fly strips but are we are in a rural areal surrounded by fields we do get a few flies in from time to time and have been advised by the local environmental health department that in a food area fly papers are the most hygienic non-chemical way of dealing with flies.
