I recommended North Perrott Garden Centre to a friend last week who required garden supplies. He phoned his order through, and within 30 minutes was called back by the garden centre to say his order was ready for collection. Our friend collected his items the next day. He phoned us to say that it was the best, efficient service he has received for a while, with very friendly, helpful staff. They had everything he needed and has recommended North Perrott farm shop to his wife and intends to take her there to choose more plants. The new layout to accommodate Corvid makes the customer feel safe.

This has always been a nice, local garden centre with friendly staff... however I would not recommend visiting under the current Coronavirus restrictions. While visiting the shop to get vegetable seeds for myself and to get seeds and shopping for others in our village. I was made to feel like a leper because I had my children with me, unfortunately this could not be helped and I had wiped their hands and noses with an anti bacterial wipe before entering. My toddler was in a push chair and my nine year old is a sensible, helpful girl. My toddler was wriggling about in the push chair - so the situation was a little stressful while trying to fulfil orders at the same time but I didn’t expect to have the situation made 10 times more stressful by the lady that served us. The shop was not busy but she said rudely “ can you move your push chair away from the door as people will not want to come near you” it was not near anyone - there was no one there! and was 2m away from the door. After running my items through the till in a displeased way. She then told me that if I wanted to buy grow bags I should have phoned first. I visited two weeks ago and bought tools, plants, compost, ice cream and like to support local shops. My revisit was with other people’s orders as I had recommended them. I feel very sad that I was made to feel unwelcome and like a liability to them. I respect the social distancing and hygiene measures and had done nothing to deserve this unpleasant attitude. These times are stressful but let’s still try to be kind!
