Visited in November 2014 at 9.30am and had a lovely breakfast so when it came buying a Christmas tree on the 19th December we headed to Barretts. We purchased the tree and add ons, and visited the restaurant at 11.40. Our request for a cooked breakfast was denied as we were past breakfast serving time even though the bacon and other items were being displayed under the heat lamps - but no problem. In the next set of trays were cooked chips, lasagnes etc, so we began to place our order for a number of these items. We were stopped in our tracks and told we had to wait 20 minutes as lunch was served from midday! So then , the items for lunch would now sit for 20 minutes under heat lamps before being allowed to be sold? Presumably someone blows a whistle do they to signify the all clear?
There was no queue ahead or behind us, we were customers with cash, had a simple order for food already cooked, tables were vacant, staff stood around seemingly waiting to serve. We left obviously.

I visited the centre in August 2013, with my daughter to look at the tropical fish. There didnt seem to be as many varieties this time round and was a couple of empty tanks.
While we were there we visited the cafe I ordered a small children's drink, a bottle of sparkling water, a bag of apricot pieces and a tuna sandwich.
When I got to the till my bill came to £8.97! When I told the cashier that I thought it was a lot of money she glared at me and then itemised all of my order. The tuna sandwich which was basically two slices of bread and a spoonful of tuna with 3 slices of cucumber, which four leafs of lettuce and 1 cheery tomato as garnish was priced at £4.99 for what was on the plate I found this very expensive.
When I told the cashier this DVD just shrugged her shoulders at me?
