They specialise in hanging baskets but also offer a wide range of plants, flowers and garden ornaments for your garden ideas. The onsite restaurant is purpose built, and proud to offer a varied menu.

I have always chosen Plowman's as my first ganden centre to visit when Spring arrives. They are friendly and helpful and the range pf plants, containers and everything else you can think of for a garden can be found under one roof.
The only slightly below 5 star rating I have given is for the restaurant; which is rather drab and the food is very basic.

A comment on the cafe, which I often use because it’s convenient. However, since I first started coming the atmosphere has really deteriorated. It used to feel jolly and welcoming before you refurbished it but now it feels as bleak as a canteen. A friendly member of staff who first ‘hooked’ me doesn’t seem to be there anymore when I come in. But one member of staff who is particularly miserable remains. Perhaps you should consIder giving her a job with less customer contact. I don’t want to put her name here but I have complained about her before. I feel sure you know who it is. The cafe is a draw. I usually spend money in the garden centre when I’ve only stopped for a coffee, so pay it some attention! I come in on my way home from a meeting that straddles lunchtime, so it’s about 3 pm when I arrive, which is a quiet time I know, but the choice and the welcome are dire at that time of day. Having newspapers available is welcoming, but there were none when I last visited.

Thank You for your review. I am very sorry that you are unhappy with a member of our staff. We will also look in to the newspaper situation & have this rectified. We hope that will continue to visit us & that we can soon bring things back to the standards that our customers are accustomed to.

Just a huge thank you me and a friend visited yesterday to see Santa and just had a fantastic time the kids loved it all the couple with the owls were fantastic they loved the train ride and seeing all the animals the elf’s were happy smiling and so funny and of course Santa was great even with a unshore little one can’t thank you all enough will defiantly recommend merry Christmas too you all ali
