Poplar Nurseries

We visited with two ladies in wheelchairs - no suitable trollies were available, and no help given by staff when asked about this. However, the range and quality of plants were very extensive and we did manage to buy a few despite having to juggle with the only available trolly! We had a cup of tea and slice of cake each - beware if paying by cash - only one till had cash in it and unfortunately this was not the one the girl had used :( We then had quite a wait whilst she found out how to open the other till to give us our change. Once this had been sorted, we sat outside & enjoyed the sunshine whilst we waited for our tea & cake. It was worth the wait... delicious! The train was very busy with small people and Mums supervising - obviously the place to come to! Hopefully when we return there will be wheelchair trollies to enable us to make our choices of plants more easily (and purchase more!).

Have been coming here for years! Easily the best garden centre for miles, and the Thyme Out restaurant helps to perfect the day. You can easily make this a whole day out without even trying, with fantastic range of plants for everywhere in your home, to the little trains, to the children's play area - there really is something for everyone! The shop and farmers store have food, wine and gifts a-plenty, so you absolutely cannot go home without something in your boot!
