Made our second visit today and again found everything we wanted, aided by helpful, friendly staff who were on hand. There is a great range of plants, all very healthy and reasonably priced, plus we got a couple of bargain priced pots. And the icing on the cake for us, we could take our dog in. Top marks all round!

Despite the Rutland garden centre being extremely busy today their customer service and staff knowledge base was second to none: thank you for your assistance and advice.

I took my Mum, who has been very poorly, for a run up to the garden centre while I was visiting, so she could choose some plants to refresh her baskets, etc. The lady attending to the outdoor area and plants themselves was perfectly polite and gave us the information we needed. However, the two staff (one male and one female - Niamh, according to the receipt?) we encountered inside the shop when we went to pay were breathtakingly rude, extremely unhelpful and were far more engrossed in the, clearly, extremely urgent issue of the sound the doorbell was making at the back of the shop when pressed under the till. Not being unassertive, I did make it clear, for a second time, that we wanted to pay for our plants! The service we finally actually received was surly and quite extraordinarily rude. We were two of only three other people in the entire centre to heaven help this establishment if they ever actually get busy! It seems some serious customer service training is necessary.
