my wife and myself went to Cadbury garden centre for coffee morning to weeks ago for the north Somerset MS society only to find had got the wrong day so we decided to stay and have a shop when we went to the checkout we were told we could not use Blue diamond card we could only use it where it was supplied and we would have t take it back to Saunders where it was issued and that we needed a card for the different centres we visited which to me seems utterly ridiculous anyway we did go back to Saunders which I quite close to home only for my wife to be treated very badly by one of the staff which is a great shame because as I said we live quite close to the centre and we go there quite a lot and spend what I regard as quite a lot of money there but if this is their attitude we will be going else where sad but I won't have my wife spoken to like that

What a disappointment. I've come to Sanders since it opened; what used to be a beacon of excellence and innovation is now shabby and overpriced. Empty spaces where the sheds were, closed building where the kitchens were, the fountain's gone and the play area is pathetic. The plants are wonderful quality but overpriced - pot chrysanthemum £8.99, the same bought at the Range £3.99. There is a weird collection of franchises including Edinburgh WOollen Mill tucked away in the restaurant so that you smell chips when you're looking at clothes. Even the staff who used to be cheerful and helpful seemed overworked and stressed. Try finding someone to help with a query, you have to join a queue! The restaurant is nothing like it used to be with tiny portions, overcooked meals and inflated prices - two slices of packet white bread in cling film £1.95! I'm sure the coaches will still use it as a service station but I hope they're prepared for the prices and stick to browsing and using the loos!

I often go to Sanders and enjoy looking around the departments. There fish department is excellent, with a great range of products but compared to other fish departments (ie. Watermarque) they are expensive. The actual Garden Centre is a lovely space and spread out well, with a good range of products. The displays give great ideas again though they are very expensive compared to other plant sellers. I found the staff, overall friendly but feel they were too busy (maybe done to short staffed) but it took me a while to find a member of staff to help me and when I did they acted as though it was a hassle to deal with my query. The children's play area is a joke really, a lovely big space but its health and safety gone mad again, with swings and zip slides being removed and nothing replacing it. So its just a barked area with one slide, the kids can run around though. Recommend going, but for gathering idea's and purchasing elsewhere. Also, avoid weekends and bank holidays.
