We came searching for a small dining set for the garden & found the very thing we were looking for . Just right for a small corner !! Very excited !! After extracting a member of staff ,unwillingly , from a conversation with 2 other staff members & showing her the set we were informed that the item was no longer in stock . No problem we would take the one displayed ... Couldn't or wouldn't sell me that !!! Against policy.. We went through the till where another grumpy assistant informed us that we would do better to shop in a supermarket or D-I-Y store if we wanted instant goods .. We followed her advice & bought a very similar set at lower cost from happy helpful staff at a popular chain. Lesson .... take the staff's advice ... Don't shop at Trelawney.

The worst cup of coffee I have ever had and the worst customer service experienced for a long time. Avoid the overpriced and extremely indifferent café at all costs. I only shaded in half a star because there was no option to leave them blank.

We were staying at a hotel in Barnstaple for a wedding and came for breakfast on both mornings. We enjoyed a cooked breakfast and there were lots of lovely looking cakes and scones on display as well. The filter coffee was very nice. I asked for warm milk and had two cups! Staff very helpful and cheerful. We bought plants to take home on the second morning. There was a lot to choose from and some good offers to take advantage of , although some plants were a bit pricey. Depends what you want. We enjoyed the experience very much and will come back when in the area.
