Van Hage Great Amwell

My family regularly visit Van Hagues often going more for the experience that with the intention of buying something (although we always do.) Both my children have es[ecially loved the miniature train, pet centre and interactive displays. My 80 year old mother in law from Scotland always wants to vist when she is down. Last year I bought a beautiful statue for my garden, which developed a fault and broke. I thought that Van Hagues might quibble but the staff went to great lengths to order and find me a replacement. As a lifelong customer I would reccomend Van Hagues for families with young children through to the elederly and disabled. There is something for everyone. My main criticism would be about the prices in the cafe. My suggestion would be to have more special offers.

I have been shopping at Van Hage's in Great Amwell for a few years. The Garden Centre has a large selection of gardening items from seeds through to sheds. Lots of different style pots and garden accessories. The household department has lots of nice items such as dinner sets, Cath Kidston and other well known brands. These items are often more expensive than they should be which is a shame. The restaurant has a large selection of food but it is overly expensive, the soup is 50% more expensive than John Lewis. I love strolling around looking at the candles and household items but the price of items is often prohibitive.
