Wood Cottage Nursery is the only place I visit when i need plants for my garden. The quality and range of plants along with the low prices make every visit worth it.. my garden is crammed full of plants from here now, god knows how much it would have cost had I gone to a garden centre - and these are the exact same plants they buy ! There is no coffee shop, or over priced pots etc just plants they don't sell Annuals which is fine for me.. They can get busy at the weekend so i tend to visit during the week. Now spring has arrived I will be in and out picking up a bargain making my garden look wonderful. Do yourself a favour if you love plants and want to save a penny go visit. :)

Been coming here for years, my parents brought me Initially now I bring my mum. The plants are varied and of an excellent quality. Very healthy looking strong plants. Lovely people that run the garden centre and are very knowledgeable and helpful

I have been visiting Wood Cottage for over 10 years now and the majority of my gardens are filled with plants from here apart from Annuals which they doesn’t sell , it is a wonderful nursery with Roger the owner being full of knowledge, with a huge selection of all common and many uncommon perennials, shrubs and a fantastic selection of Clematis. We have purchased some beautiful harder to get hold of varieties over the years including some stunning Chinese Peony you just don’t see these things in any of the larger chains.. the one thing that Roger cannot be beaten on is price in fact I can’t think of the prices really going up over the last 10 years -
Still the bargain £1.50 selection of perennials but some larger and more select plants in 3 litre pots come in dearer, we have seen the same plants at other garden centres when buying hardware at almost anything between 3 and 5 times the price !! I shake my head when I see these people with trolleys paying hundreds of pounds when they could go to Rogers.. if you love plants then it is a must.. remember cash or cheque only this is one of the ways roger keeps the prices down without having to subside Card Payments and having machines etc.. happy planting everyone
