Auntie Masie goes back to Dobbies! 2014-05-21 21:06:53
Oh my, another wonderful day out at my favourite Garden Centre, this time in the hands of a most wonderful assistant called Bill.
Oh my, what a laugh to start! When he told me he could show me a nice Red hot poker I must admit I was a bit taken aback before he explained that it was actually a hardy perennial!! Oh my, the shock on my face made us both giggle no end. A most helpful man who gave me valuable guidance about the best plants suited to my small patch.
As a treat I then decided to have the delicious home made Macaroni Cheese which was served piping hot and brought to me by the wonderful restaurant staff.
Upon leaving Bill was kind enough to then help load the plants and compost into my little Corsa. Out the corner of my eye I then noticed young Thomas who was litter picking the car park. As I waved he shouted over 'kooo-eeee Auntie Masie' which brought a lovely smile to my face.
Oh my, I do so enjoy visiting Dobbies!

Oh my, what a wonderful day I had today at Dobbies in Carlisle with excellent service given by the really handsome young man who goes by the name of Thomas.
To begin with when I was looking for suggestions for toys to give to my young grandson Sebastian, Thomas could not have been more helpful, explaining in detail the best toys and Teddy Bears that Dobbies offered. As I have a bit of a mobility problem what with my recent hip replacement young Thomas then guided me through to the lounge area where I was able to enjoy a most wonderful Afternoon Tea served in the finest crockery.
Upon leaving I decided to buy several bags of compost and once again this delightful young man Thomas was available, without having to be asked, to carry and load them into my little hatchback.
All in all a thoroughly pleasant experience made all the better by the efforts of this attentive and, dare I say, handsome young man Thomas who is undoubtedly a credit to the company.
I shall return!

Read other reviews and frankly, I've no idea what everyone is moaning on about!! Been shopping in Dobbies since it opened in Carlisle and the service I have received every single time is wonderful. If I've needed any help regarding products, the staff have been more than happy to help, and they know their stuff. The plant department were fantastic helping me with queries with my garden. Regarding the comment made by Mr Tyson, I found that totally inappropriate to call members of the staff like that, it is very degrading. Also, untrue. Staff have always been pleasant and helpful on every visit. I found prices to be very fair and the food in the restaurant delicious. I intend to continue shopping there in the future. Wonderful. Well done Dobbies and all their staff!!
