This review for cafe only we went for lunch on 15 jan 2014 at around one after standing 10 min waiting to be served with 3 members off staff behind the food bar must had our invisble clothes on service was terrible and it was not even busy we ordered 2 pannis brie bacon and steak and onion when they arrived they was no filling in the brie 2 tiny square of bacon and a small piece of brie and half a jar off cranberry yuk at £5.95 the steak pannis was dry and cold all in all it was so poor we will not be back really needs a good sort out staff training and quailty of food at these prices

Travelled 30 miles to Dobbies,Carlisle,big mistake,19.12.13. Never again. Purchased tree at £8.40,second tree,£5.40 -identical,was told @ till,"someone had removed a sticker,price was £8.40...after an argument in front of other customers,we left store,minus tree. After foning store tonite Dobbies have admitted they were in the wrong.Kirsty on till,was fine,elderly spinster on till should be retrained and known better.We spent as a family,over £200 pounds today in Dobbies,will stick to Hayes in future.Very disappointed.Avoid.

Visited mid Nov whilst on a family visit and all I can say is that it was dire. Queues on checkouts which seemed to progress at a snails pace. The problem appeared to be that no one was in charge and staff were left to fend for themselves when a discrepancy arose. As for the Restaurant, well, where does one start. The food is truly awful. The Macaroni cheese was a throwback to 1970's school dinners. Dirty crockery, dirty tables and staff thin on the ground. When I put it to a staff member about the apparent lack of them I was informed ' that its always like this and we are all looking for other jobs' - hardly a great advertisement for repeat trade. The lack of staff seems to be a common thread and of the ones that are available they all have an air of despair on their faces. Whoever manages this place should be having a long hard look at how the place is run. I will not be returning anytime soon.
