Dobbies is a great place for a little outing, including for families. we enjoy visiting the cafe (great value 2 for the price of 1 breakfasts!), mooching round the shop and plant areas, then going round the back to water world to see the fish, reptiles etc. Sale items tend to be decently reduced and there is plenty available with big book section, children's things, a clothing bit (this bit can be pricey) and farm shop with great deli counter, they often have samples out to tempt you in :-)
