I have visited the garden centre and cafe several times, and its always excellent. Its easier to carry small trees from a local centre, Other garden centres have been really expensive. You pay for what you get everywhere. Small plants are always expected to be cheaper because of their size, but its not always a good idea.

I purchased a Damson tree at £35.00 which was very expensive. After some 8 weeks in the ground it at last fruited. I was extremely upset when the fruit it produced where not damsons but plums. I returned to the garden centre today with the label and fruits off the tree and explained how disappointed I was. I was informed to dig up the tree in September so it could be swopped for a Damon tree. I was given no apology. I asked if I could be given a discount off a Damon tree as I did not want to have to dig up the rather large plum tree and return it but it was dismissed. I was absolutely disappointed. I always try and support my local business but I will not be going to this garden centre again.

Glyndwr garden centre is very pleasing to visit. It is not a huge centre but has excellent quality plants, is designed attractively, and has the added bonus of a really good cafe, which is run by the owners. The food here is truly home cooking, as the savouries and cakes are made by a domestic science professional. !! The staff , both horticultural and cafe are most helpful. Glyndwr is easy to find as it is just a mile or so off the A5 at the junction for Chester. Do make an effort to vist this delightful place.
