Weedkiller disposal deadline looms

The clock is ticking down to the deadline to use up and dispose of a popular garden chemical. Every gardener must get rid of their supply of sodium chlorate weedkiller by 10 May, the deadline set by the Pesticides Safety Directorate. Sodium chlorate is the ingredient in a number of branded weedkillers that will shortly disappear, including ASDA Sodium Chlorate, Doff Path Weedkiller, Homebase Sodium Chlorate Weedkiller and Tesco Path Weedkiller.
