CLEMATIS - Large Flowered Hybrids

The Clematis is one of the jewels of all summer flowering climbers and rightly takes the place as the most well-known of all climbing plants. No other climber can match the popularity of the Clematis for walls, fences, trellis and pergolas. Some varieties can be encouraged to grow through trees or large shrubs and most can be grown in large tubs or containers.

They tolerate most soils and will benefit from ample organic material or planting compost when first planted. When grown in tubs or containers use soil based potting compost. Clematis will tolerate all aspects except extremely exposed - full sun to light shade, with full sun for preference.
