I have heard Jackie Aviolet speak three times. She may not be everyone's cup of tea but I believe she is so enthusiastic that she gets carried away with herself. Will be listening to her next month talking about nuts. Can't wait!

The previous reviewers are a pair of sad bullies who should know better than to leave mischievous bad comment on a public website, when all they have is their dander ruffled. Grow up Bowes and Whitaker .. your pomposity makes you look ridiculous.

I am a member of my local gardening group. Myself and another Committee member are responsible for the booking of our speakers. I was recently telephoned by the proprietor of Rosie's Garden Plants. She was, frankly, pushy and rather argumentative; an odd stance to take when seeking paid employment?! My name and contact details appear on Russell Bowes website and also on the website of a famous 'TV gardener'. I assume this is how 'Rosie' found my contact details. I appreciate that speakers need to promote themselves, but this is usually done by the speaker's CV and the by word of mouth of others; not by the speaker hectoring and lecturing just how good they are. Very unprofessional, unsolicited approach and quite possibly a breach of my privacy. Needless to say, we're unlikely to book her.
