5 organic solutions to protect your garden from pests and insects

1. Hot Peppers

4. Banana and Orange Peels

Many people consider banana peels as totally useless. However, you may not know that banana peels can protect you from the nuisance of pests and insects. It’s an organic pesticide that can improve the health of plants. Bury the banana peels a few inches deep near plants that have become the victims of aphids and ants.

Orange peels can also be used as organic insecticides in our garden. You can boil them to prepare a spray or just spread them near the infected plants.

 

5. Turmeric

Turmeric is commonly used to prepare meals at home since it adds a distinct flavour. However, do you know ants and many other insects despise the smell of turmeric? So, you can make the most of this opportunity and use turmeric as a natural insecticide. You can sprinkle a little amount of turmeric powder around the infected plants.
