This morning I went to the supermarket and the fruit and veg just didn't seem appealing, I then remembered the fruit and veg stall at Hilliars and although it was a fair bit out of my way I decided it would make a nice change.
I got everything I needed and more and the whole layout was far more appealing than that in the supermarket, I don't enjoy being. Served in the supermarket and find that staff feel they have to engage in conversation, today it was a pleasure to be served by happy friendly people who completed the whole shopping experience perfectly, I will be visiting regularly from now on and can't wait to see what fresh produce I can pick next time.

A delightful and friendly restaurant( mainly light lunches at a reasonable price. Staff are ALL exceptional and anxious to please
Product range has now improved and there is a good selection of plants and associated products , many of which are slightly more costly than a local (supermarket style) garden center nearby.(estimated on average 10%)
Never a problem with parking here and on a Wednesday and Saturday there is an excellent greengrocer attending (Independent) (fresh produce at good prices)
The Garden Center is frequented in the main by older clients who appreciate the element of comfort and the staff are on hand to assist.
One can even meet celebrities on occasions such as booming Brian Blessed . Hillier's garden center also has the advantage of NOT being too large with massive queues to pay.
A pleasant outing, here rather than fighting my way around a supermarket is my preference and from observation is also that of many of my generation. JS
