Top 5 garden centres in Aberdeen

Lisa Garden on 05-10-2017

Aberdeen is Scotland’s third most populous city and mostly known for being the oil capital of the world, the energy capital of the world and the granite city. Besides that, Aberdeen attracts many visitors with its 300 castles, many golf courses and 165 miles of coast. More interesting for us though, is that Aberdeen has won the Britain in Bloom competition ten times, which was record-breaking. The Britain in Bloom competition is organised by the Royal Horticultural Society and the largest horticultural campaign in the United Kingdom. We can assume, therefore, that Aberdeen is quite green-fingered. As such, here are our top 5 garden centres in Aberdeen! Remember, you can also buy your garden products online throughout the entire UK, at the webshop of your local garden centre or other webshops with a large selection in garden products.

Cove Bay Nurseries

Every Friday, you can find Cove Bay Nurseries at the Green Market in Aberdeen. Even though we cannot say that its a garden centre that can be visited on a daily basis, the reviews on our website a reason enough for Cove Bay Nurseries to be the first to mention in this top 5! Also, there is a reason for this nurseries to have contracts with local authorities to provide hanging baskets and window boxes for city wide displays.. Definitely worth a visit on Friday’s between 8 AM and 3 PM!

Ben Reid & Co

Ben Reid & Co claims to be run for gardeners but also by gardeners. Which shows as reviews suggest that the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The bad news is that this garden centre doesn’t have a tea room, gift shop or patio furniture. However, this enables the staff to concentrate on the plants, shrubs, fruit bushes, seeds, bulbs, compost, and their service. Besides that, Ben Reid & Co is open every day!
