little competition and little investment since end of the family owned era has made this yet another cloned fancy goods ie non gardening store, with quite a limited plant selection. Inclusion of a handycrafts outlet within store is good - but of no interest for gardeners. Of course, a cafe, plenty of parking, plenty of staff. Every visit we feel ever less inclined to again ----- not really a place for gardeners anymore. all rather sad & predictable, really.

This garden centre is convenient as not only can you buy garden plants and ornaments, but you can also buy household items and lovely gifts. The staff are very friendly and very helpful as if you do not know the name of a plant but can describe it, they will endeavour to try and find it for you. If you have a lot of items to carry, the staff never fail to ask if you would like help to take them to your car. To finish your shopping trip off you can then relax in a clean cafe for a cup of tea with excellent homemade food. Also there is ample parking. I cannot rate this place highly enough. My husband and I go there on average once or twice a month as we moved to the area earlier in the year and have purchased many plants for our garden from the garden centre.
