My sister and I took my mother out for a visit and lunch to Dobbies Ayr. this week. Dirty cutlery and crockery had to be changed. Soup my mother had was sour, and the macaroni cheese my sister and I had was baked hard and tough. Coffee was cold. Lunch was a dreadful experience, never to be repeated. The standard of cleanliness was poor. The seat next to me had dried up baked beans and crumbs all over it and dirty cutlery was on the floor. Dobbies, even in these difficult times you can surely do better.

I went to Ayr Dobbies garden centre on 14/05/2016. If you bought a copy of "The Scotsman " newspaper, at £1.90, which they sold in Dobbies, that gave you a 20% of voucher for all plants and garden furniture. If you had a Dobbies Gardening Club Card , which I have it gave you another 10% 0ff !!!!! . My purchases of plants etc was reduced from £90 to £60 !! I also got a 5 for 10 discount. If you take out a Dobbies Gardening Club membership it costs £12 and gives you two free teas or coffees every month plus a year long 10% off of all plants, access to other advantages which I can't remember. You get that from the DAY you join. The present offer runs from 14th to 24 th May. If you go back another day you will need another newspaper discount voucher. I had lunch and coffee that day. £4.75 for a great small salad bowl.Tea at £1.90 was free . The staff in the past have gone well out of their way to help me and my disabled son. Extra disabled parking would be good. Not usually blocked.

I went to dobbies garden centre today 16/5/12 and was very disappointed the prices are quite high and decided to have some lunch of a bowl of lentil soup. I have never in my life seen lentil soup like that it was like dish water with chunks of leek and not very warm. I decided to head to my car and was blocked in by 2 delivery trucks at the disabled bays wasn't impressed at all surely a place that size has facilities for unloading elsewhere instead of blocking in disable people
