Visited today as a party of 32 for a set afternoon tea. All really looking forward to the outing. As afternoon teas are nowadays so fashionable we all had preconceived ideas of what we might expect. The scone with jam and cream was dry, The one piece of cake each was too big , it would have been preferable to have had dainty cakes or tarts or a bun, all things that are associated with an afternoon tea. We were all given a small cup of tea. There were no teapots on the table and when we asked for a follow up cup of tea we were told that would cost a further £1.70.. We were all disappointed. If Irton Garden centre are going to offer this service then it needs to improve. The room was small and if anyone wanted to leave the table 4 people had to move to allow them to get out. Not a nice experience.

This is a great garden centre, lovely flowers and plants, lots of great gift ideas, clothing , toys, cards, ornaments. Fab Cafe/Restaurant . Could do with a children's play area like some of the other larger British Garden Centres, like Bridd and Woodthorpe.
