A couple of months ago I visited and stopped for food at your cafe. Having made decisions from a menu on a clipboard by the till for myself and family, I was told: “ We don’t serve any of that I’m afraid”. ‘But why is the menu here then?’ I asked. “I don’t know” came the reply.
Today I decided to try again. Imagine my surprise as I arrive at your cafe for lunch with my children to be told: “We don’t serve food for children”. ‘But that’s ridiculous ‘ I said, my children (aged 5 & 6) need to eat too. “We don’t serve children’s food” came the reinforced response.
So I had to order 2 adult meals, and then redistribute food across plates to placate my now grumpy children. The food in itself was okay.
With my receipt, I also win the jackpot and get a promotion voucher! Hurrah! My day is improving! Alas, it is for a tub of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream free - with every children’s meal purchased......

I visit Stevenage Garden Centre regularly throughout the year. The extensive range of garden plants and shrubs and their quality are second to none and are a fair price. The outdoor area has a vast range of compost, garden ornaments and paving/fencing and under cover there is a large area displaying soil additives, tools, gifts and wild bird essentials. The staff are always polite and helpful and the restaurant is a good corner to finish off your visit
